Rhema's music compiles his years of freestyling in clubs, college radio stations, and street corners, with the reality of the pain of inner city living, the corruption of the hip-hop industry, and the battle all of this wages against his spirituality on a day to day basis. His music is extremely diverse and encompasses a wide spectrum of different styles of hip-hop giving his albums the feel and diversity of compilation albums.

Who is Rhema Manna-Fest? The name in and of itself describes the sum total of his vision and music:

RHEMA MANNA-FEST

Rhema = (Greek) The spoken word (i.e. The Word of God)

Manifest = (webster's) to make evident or certain by showing or displaying

Manna = (Hebrew) the bread from heaven that God provided the Hebrew people as provision during their wanderings in the wilderness.

Fest = (suffix) meeting or occasion marked by (such) activity

Rhema Manna-Fest = A festival of making evident the Word of God and the provision he provides by lyrically representing Jesus Christ with a mic and other forms of hip-hop culture (or other such activity).

Hip Hop culture is not limited by gangsta rap!

The Holy Warrior

Rhema is currently working on several new projects and is scheduled to be releasing another album. He says this project will hit hard with more street reality and deeper expression of the struggles of the inner city. He also says it wil display the same amount of diversity of styles and sounds as the Holy Warior project. There will also, of course, be one or two freestyle tracks.

Short Bio

Rhema was born in the Bronx, New York, and was raised both on the East and West Coasts. He graduated high school in California hopeful for the future and for his music. After his graduation he went into the Marine Corps at 17yrs old and served most of his 4 years on the East Coast. During this time he frequented clubs and other "underground spots", "flowin in cyphers" and "battlin" under the names of Frosty, Frost-t (names both used by other artists) and Dread Frost. He won some competitions and did shows with several different groups while also Battling as a DJ and a Break-Dancer. Upon his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, he returned to the West Coast and to it's hip-hop subculture for several years but didn't have the money or connections to find any success. He also found failure in his life through his drug and alcohol addictions and worldly lifestyle which eventually led to his becoming homeless twice.

After his salvation in 1998 he began his recovery from drugs, alcohol, and sin, and also went into hiding as far as hip-hop to reform his skills to reflect his new life.

Rhema, has a wife and 2 children and has been living in hip-hop culture (rapping, break-dancing, graffiti, and DJing) since the 70s. He works in full time ministry as a missionary in Oakland, California and also works in ministry in San Francisco, California. He is a firm believer in tithing (Giving firstfriuts to God {-lit- Heb=a tenth}) and plans on offering his first album as a tithe by giving it away as a witness and not selling it for profit.
